Our Haygrove Garden Tunnel

We first spotted the Haygrove Garden Tunnel at the Smallholder’s Show in Builth Wells in 2022 and were delighted that it could be constructed for us in June just a month later. We particularly like the construction of the tunnel. The shape gives more height for growing at the sides and the cover is fitted smoothly on the ends – not folded over and tucked around the door. The structure is extremely sturdy and has stood up to the weather so far.

Tim and Mandy completed the construction in one day – it would have taken us weeks! They arrived on time and left the area tidy. We used the cardboard packaging to line and insulate the floor. The drop down benches are very useful although we don’t work tidily enough to ever lift them up!

We don’t heat our tunnel but laid a path of thick tiles and used 5 dustbins full of water as heat sinks which protected the environment from the worst of the cold for the most part.

With advice from Tim we got exactly the tunnel for us. We are delighted with the size, the benches, the door at each end and the gutters.
